Clear Falls 2, SA Brennan 0

SAN ANTONIO – The Clear Falls Knights capped off their day at the Northeast ISD Invitational tournament at the Blossom Athletic Complex on Friday by defeating San Antonio Brennan, 25-20, 27-25.

Alyssa Enneking and Ashlyn Dunbar tied for the lead in kills with 10 each. Madelyn St. Germain led Clear Falls in digs with 15.

Clear Falls 2, Austin LBJ 0

SAN ANTONIO – Clear Falls opened the Northeast ISD Invitational tournament at the Blossom Athletic Complex on Friday with a dominant 25-13, 25-3 win over Austin LBJ.

Alyssa Enneking led the Knights in kills with 10. Madelyn St. Germain had a team-best 12 digs and four aces.

Clear Springs 3, Manvel 1

MANVEL – The Clear Springs Chargers notched another solid early season win, defeating Manvel, 25-13, 25-17, 17-25, 25-18, in a road match Friday.

Kylie Jedlicka led the Chargers in kills with 16 and digs with 16. Lauren Burt added 10 kills, and Devyn Murphy chipped in 12 digs. Elizabeth Armstrong had a team-best 46 assists.

Texas City 3, Pasadena Memorial 2

PASADENA – The Texas City Lady Stings edged out Pasadena Memorial, 27-29, 25-12, 25-20, 22-25, 16-14, on Friday in a road match.

Hailee King led Texas City in kills with 15. Celeste Lacy was the team’s digs leader with 14. Treslyn Ortiz chipped in 11 kills and nine digs.

Ball High 3, La Marque 0

LA MARQUE – Ball High recorded a convincing win over rival La Marque, with the Lady Tors sweeping the Lady Cougars, 25-12, 25-16, 25-15, on Friday.

Taylor Termini lead the Lady Tors in kills with 10, and added three digs and three aces. Sheridan Hopkins had six kills, eight digs, two aces and a block. Gillian Nelsen led Ball in assists with 28.

Frisco Wakeland 2, Santa Fe 1

FORT WORTH – Santa Fe went 0-for-3 on the second day of the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic tournament Friday with the final defeat coming from Frisco Wakeland, 20-25, 25-23, 22-25.

Keegan Nelms was Santa Fe’s kills leader with 23 and had a team-high 16 digs.

Jordan Jewell added 14 digs, and Cayla Hockenbury had 12 digs. Hockenbury led the team in assists with 23.

The Lady Indians open the final day of the tournament with a match against Friendswood at 11 a.m. today.

Aledo 2, Santa Fe 0

FORT WORTH – The Santa Fe Lady Indians were swept by Aledo, 12-25, 22-25, in their second match Friday at the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic.

Keegan Nelms had team-bests with eight kills and eight digs for Santa Fe. Hockenbury led Santa Fe in assists with nine. Madison Ogden added five kills and five digs.

Austin Vandergrift 2, Santa Fe 1

FORT WORTH – In their opening match of the second day of competition at the Northwest ISD Volleyball ISD on Friday, the Santa Fe Lady Indians could not take advantage of an early lead and fell to Austin Vandergrift, 25-18, 15-25, 22-25.

Keegan Nelms was the Lady Indians kills leader in the match with 15, followed by Madison Ogden with 13. Ogden had a team-high 13 digs, with Nelms and Jordan Jewell adding 10 each.

Cayla Hockenbury led the team in assists with 21.

FB Ridge Point 2, Friendswood 1

FORT WORTH – After going 3-0 in the tournament’s first day, the Friendswood Lady Mustangs lost three straight on the second day of the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic tournament on Friday.

The final defeat was a 25-17, 22-25, 16-25 loss to Ridge Point. Nadia Posluszny and Sarah Redding tied for the team lead in kills for Friendswood with six each.

The Lady Mustangs will conclude play in the tournament today in the Championship Ruby bracket with an opening match against Santa Fe.

Denton Guyer 2, Friendswood 0

FORT WORTH – Denton Guyer swept Friendswood, 20-25, 17-25, to hand the Lady Mustangs their second loss on Friday in the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic.

Kelly Colwell had a team-high eight kills for Friendswood, followed by Sarah Redding with six.

Amarillo Randall 2, Friendswood 0

FORT WORTH – Amarillo Randall dealt Friendswood its first loss of the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic on Friday, beating the Lady Mustangs, 17-25, 21-25.

Kelly Colwell led Friendswood in kills with eight, followed by Sarah Redding with six.

Friendswood 2, FW Central 1

FORT WORTH – The Friendswood Lady Mustangs completed a perfect first day of the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic with a 25-18, 17-25, 25-21 win over Fort Worth Central on Thursday.

Sarah Redding led the Lady Mustangs in kills with 17.

Friendswood 2, Frisco Liberty 1

FORT WORTH – Friendswood rallied from behind to win its second match of the day Thursday at the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic, defeating Frisco Liberty 21-25, 25-15, 25-20.

Sarah Redding was the kills leader for Friendswood in the match with 18.

Friendswood 2, Mansfield Timberview 0

FORT WORTH – Friendswood opened the first day of the Northwest ISD Volleyball Classic on Thursday with a solid 25-12, 25-17 victory over Mansfield Timberview.

Sarah Redding recorded a team-high five kills in the match.
