GALVESTON – Clear Creek rallied from a 13-stroke deficit to edge Kingwood by one stroke to win the Clear Creek Wildcat Invitational at Moody Gardens Golf Course on Saturday.

The Wildcats finished with a team total of 630. In a tight race for the top, Clear Lake was third with a 632, a stroke behind second-place Kingwood and two behind first-place Clear Creek in the 12-team event.

Clear Springs finished fourth at 635, Clear Falls placed eighth at 712, and Dickinson was ninth at 763.

Joe Hernandez paced the Wildcats with a 155, good for seventh place in the individual standings.

Clear Springs’ Cole Maxwell finished third with a 153, five strokes behind first-place winner Logan Davis of Atascocita.
