Texas City 9, Friendswood 4
TEXAS CITY — The Stings rallied past the Mustangs on Tuesday with a six-run sixth inning to secure a District 24-4A win.
Brandon Galvan went 2-for-3 with a two-run double in the sixth and finished with three RBIs. Robbie Sarvis had a double and drove in a run for Texas City, and teammates Cody Garza, Ryne Cooper, David Mull and Thomas Doyle each had one RBI.
David Mull earned the complete-game win, giving up four runs, one earned, on eight hits with a strikeout and two walks.
Ryan Bertelsman had a hit and one RBI for Friendswood, who led 4-3 before the Stings’ big inning. Walker Williams and Drew Barba each went 2-for-4 for the Mustangs.
Boling 13, Hitchcock 5
BOLING — Hitchcock and Boling traded runs early, but the homstanding Bulldogs broke open a 6-5 lead with five runs in the bottom of the third en route to a District 26-2A victory.
TJ Combs went 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs for Hitchcock.
Brazoswood 3, Clear Lake 0
CLUTE — Anthony Dahl pitched a complete-game shutout, giving up only one hit with a pair of walks and 11 strikeouts to lead Brazoswood past Clear Lake on Tuesday for a District 24-5A win.
Dustin Lacaze went 2-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs for Brazoswood.
Kyle Vance singled in the sixth inning for Clear Lake’s sole hit.
Will Criss was the tough-luck loser, giving up three runs, two earned, in seven innings on six hits with five strikeouts and no walks.
