Clear Creek 5, Clear Lake 4

LEAGUE CITY – The Wildcats nearly gave up all of a 5-run lead Monday, but held on to beat Clear Lake.

Clear Creek scored two runs in the first and second innings and added another in the third inning to build a 5-0 lead before Clear Lake scored four runs in the seventh inning.

Madison Wadyka got on base three times in the game for the Wildcats. She singled in the first and second innings and reached base on a walk.

Katlyn Rivera got the win for the Wildcats. She allowed four runs over seven innings. She struck out two, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

The Wildcats’ Katy Sawyer went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI and scored two runs; Brittney Wingate went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, Riley Bullen went 2-for-3 with a walk, Kalyn Ramber had a hit and Vanessa Gonzalez reached base on a walk and scored a run.
