BAYTOWN — Lady Indians’ starter Shelbi Sunseri limited Goose Creek to one hit, but it drove in the game’s only run Wednesday in a District 24-4A loss.
Jami Garcia had the Lady Patriots sole hit, a double in the bottom of the fourth that scored K.J. Murphy, who reached base on an error.
Sunseri went the distance, striking out 13 without a walk.
Santa Fe had six hits. Lacey Smith doubled, and Sunseri, Shelbi Doherty, Erin Palmer, Alicia Owens and Stephanie Reed each had one single.
Clear Falls 8, Clear Creek 3
LEAGUE CITY — Rachel Bobo went 3-for-3 in drove in a run as the Knights rallied from an early deficit to beat the Wildcats on Wednesday in District 24-5A play.
Clear Creek scored all of its run in the bottom of the first, two crossing home on a double by Kalyn Ramber, who had two hits. Katy Sawyer went 2-for-3 for the Wildcats.
Tori Hatten had two hits and drove in a run for the Knights. Allie Rich went 3-for-4, Amber Pufal had one hit and one RBI, and Madison Michna drove in a run.
Misty Muniz earned the complete-game win, giving up two earned runs on nine hits with three walks and two strikeouts.
Santa Fe 10, Ball High 1
Shelbi Sunseri earned the complete game win and went 3-for-5 from the plate with a pair of doubles and four RBIs to lead the Lady Indians past the Lady Tors on Tuesday in District 24-4A play.
Sunseri allowed one earned run on four hits with a walk and 13 strikeouts.
Shelbi Doherty went 3-for-5 with a double and scored twice for Santa Fe. Alicia Owens had two hits and two RBIs, Mycahla Howard had a pair of hits and one RBI, Erin Palmer tripled and drove in a run, and Hallie Phillips finished with one RBI.
Sara Silva had a hit and drove in Ball High’s run.
