Alvin 8, Clear Falls 3 (6)

ALVIN – Alvin put Clear Falls away with five runs in the fourth inning on Friday in the Alvin Tournament.

Mikie Gaudet went 2-for-4 for the Knights, and Chris Brandli drove in a run.

Dickinson 4, Travis 3

DICKINSON – Pierce Hollister hit a walk-off single to center field in the bottom of the seventh to cap a three-run rally and give the Gators a win Friday against Fort Bend Travis in the Texas City/Dickinson Tournament.

Hollister went 3-for-4 at the plate. Joey Silvas had two hits and drove in a run for the Gators, and teammates Joel White and Callum Gallo each had one RBI.

Jesus Buendia picked up the complete-game win, allowing one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts and no walks.

Cinco Ranch 3, Clear Creek 2

ALVIN – The Wildcats gave up a run in the bottom of the ninth to fall to Katy Cinco Ranch on Friday in the Alvin Tournament.

Harrison Hill went 2-for-4 for and drove in a run for Clear Creek, and Landon Etzel had one RBI.

Clear Springs 3, Conroe 1

DICKINSON – Reed Ballard went 2-for-3, helping the Chargers to a victory over Conroe on Friday in the Texas City/Dickinson Tournament.

He singled in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning and batted in a run.

Conroe’s lineup had no answer for Itchy Burts on the mound. They managed just two hits off Burts, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out four during his seven innings of work.

Cinco Ranch 3, Clear Creek 2

ALVIN – The Clear Creek Wildcats lost to Cinco Ranch on Friday in the Alvin Tournament.

Aron Solis got the start for the Wildcats and gave up two runs, neither one earned, walked one and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Cinco Ranch scored the winning run with one out in the bottom of the seventh.

Clear Springs 4, Houston Chavez 0

DICKINSON – Reed Ballard threw a perfect game for the Chargers against Houston Chavez on Friday in the Texas City/Dickinson Tournament.

Ballard struck out 10 in his seven innings of work, getting Aldo Izzaguire to fly out for the final out of the game.

Matt Currie went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for Chargers. He singled in the third and sixth innings and scored two runs.

Clear Falls 5, Friendswood 1

PEARLAND – Chris Brandli was strong at the plate and on the rubber in carrying the Clear Falls Knights to a victory over Friendswood on Friday.

Brandli racked up three RBIs on two hits. He also picked up the win, pitching seven innings and allowing one earned run, five hits and four walks while striking out one.
