Santa Fe 6, Dawson 4
PEARLAND – The Lady Indians rallied past Pearland Dawson, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning Wednesday to win their District 24-4A opener.
Courtney Clark’s sacrifice fly in the seventh broke the 4-4 tie. She finished with a hit and two RBI.
Mycahla Howard went 2-for-4 with a two-run double in the fourth inning and plated four Santa Fe runs in the game.
Shelbi Sunseri earned the complete-game win, allowing two earned runs on six hits with eight strikeouts and four walks.
Santa Fe 3, Manvel 2 (6)
MISSOURI CITY – Victoria Davidson scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth on an error as the Lady Indians downed Manvel on Saturday in the Sienna-Missouri City Tournament.
Emily Evans’ shot to shortstop led to the error and win. Shelbi Sunseri went 2-for-3 for Santa Fe. Haley Chavez and Lacey Smith each had one hit and drove in a run.
Sunseri earned the win, allowing two earned runs on eight hits in six innings with six strikeouts and a walk.
Santa Fe 4, Rudder 0 (6)
MISSOURI CITY – Stephanie Reed tossed a complete-game shutout, striking out 11 and giving up only three hits with a walk to lead the Lady Indians to a victory over Rudder on Saturday in the Sienna-Missouri City Tournament.
Haley Chavez went 2-for-3 with a triple for Santa Fe. Courtney Clark had two hits, and both Shelbi Sunseri and Alicia Owens each drove in a run.
Dickinson 7, Clear Springs 4
DICKINSON – The Lady Gators began District 24-5A play Thursday with a big win over the Chargers.
Junior Carmen Garcia went 2-for-3 with two doubles for Dickinson, and senior Denise Salinas and junior Destiny Melendez each had two hits. Jenell Villarreal earned the win.
