The cold and rainy weather that hit Galveston County early Tuesday morning also played havoc on the day’s sports schedule, as all outdoor events were either cancelled or postponed.

Tuesday night’s Friendswood-Galveston Ball boys soccer match was pushed back to this evening at 6 p.m. at Courville Stadium. The Mustangs enter the contest atop District 43-4A and will face a Tors squad looking to stay in the top three with just two games left in the regular season.

Friendswood’s girls team will host the Lady Tors beginning at 7 p.m.

The Clear Creek boys’ soccer team will visit Dickinson tonight at 7 p.m., while the Wildcats’ girls soccer team will host the Lady Gators at CCISD Veterans Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m.

Clear Springs’ girls soccer match against Clear Brook will be played tonight at 7:30 p.m.

Dickinson’s softball contest against Clear Springs was moved to this evening at 6 p.m., while the Gators’ tennis matches scheduled at CCISD were also pushed forward to today.

Texas City’s baseball team rescheduled its matchup at Goose Creek Memorial to 7 p.m. today.

The Lady Stings softball team will make up its doubleheader at Goose Creek tonight, with games scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Santa Fe’s softball match versus Dawson will be played at 6 p.m. today, while the baseball team will host Dawson beginning at 7 p.m.

Friendswood’s baseball game against Galena Park, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was moved to 7 p.m. tonight.

The Lady Mustangs softball team will also be at home, as they will play Galena Park at 6 p.m.

La Marque athletic director Dr. Mike Jackson said that the Cougars were not affected by the weather.
