Clear Creek 11, Clear Brook 10
FRIENDSWOOD — The Chargers held off Clear Brook’s last-inning rally to top the Wolverines for a District 24-5A victory Tuesday.
Clear Springs surged ahead to an 11-5 lead by plating six runs in the top of the sixth. Clear Brook didn’t give in, pulling within one after scoring five times in the bottom of the seventh.
With the tying run on third base, a ground out to pitcher Jacob Vasquez ended the game.
Itchy Burts went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Chargers. Reed Ballard, Brandon Upton and Shelby Manning each had a hit and drove in a run, and teammate Tyrone Thomas had a hit, one RBI and scored three times.
Corey Julks went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for Clear Brook.
Ball High 11, Galena Park 6
GALENA PARK — David Hernandez, Mario Reyes and Ty Hoecker each homered as the Tors blasted Galena Park on Tuesday in District 24-4A play.
Hoecker finished with four RBIs, and Hernandez drove in three runs. Jake Simon also had a hit and one RBI for Ball High.
Reyes also doubled and earned the win in relief, pitching two no-hit innings with five strikeouts.
Baine Schoenvogel went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, and Parker Prets went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Brazos 16, Hitchcock 6 (6)
HITCHCOCK — Brazos belted 14 hits to down the Bulldogs on Tuesday in District 26-2A play.
Michael Parker went 2-for-3 with two doubles and drove in a pair of runs for Hitchcock. Kyle Cook went 2-for-2 with a triple, one RBI and scored two runs, and Drager Landry had a hit and drove in two.
Santa Fe 2, Friendswood 0
SANTA FE — Ty Neumann struck out 12 in 61⁄3 innings to lead the Indians to a District 24-4A win over the Mustangs on Tuesday.
Preston Plovanich struck out the final two batters for the save, and he drove in a run. Tyler Hockenbury doubled and had one RBI.
