MONTGOMERY – The Santa Fe Indians built an early lead with four first-inning runs that helped bring home a win over Montgomery on Saturday.

Jordan Gunter racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Indians. He homered in the second inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.

Jared Sheppard got the win, giving up four runs — three earned — in 61/3 innings while striking out five and walking four.
