Clear Springs 2, Clear Brook 1
LEAGUE CITY – Clear Springs scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball in the sixth inning on Friday to beat Clear Brook.
Blake Chisolm scattered six hits, walked three and gave up one unearned run in seven innings of work to get the win.
Jacob Vasquez went 2-for-3 and scored the wining run after reaching base on a single.
Matt Currie got the only other hit for the Chargers, but it was an RBI single that scored Jacob Ramirez in the bottom of the third inning.
Clear Falls 2, Dickinson 0
LEAGUE CITY – Chase Lowman scattered five hits and struck out seven in a complete- game shutout for the Knights on Friday.
The Knights had six hits, all by different players, led by a home run from Mikie Gaudet and doubles by Josh Elvir and Chris Brandli.
Josh Koetter scored the other run for Clear Springs on an RBI single by Victor Garcia.
Travis Spruiell went 3-for-3 for the Gators, and Joey Silvas allowed two runs on four hits in five innings in a losing effort.
Clear Creek 2, Clear Lake 1
HOUSTON – Clear Creek scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning Friday, and Trevor Pardo got the final three outs as the Wildcats beat the Falcons.
Starter Aron Solis allowed one run on three hits, walked three and struck out five in 52/3 innings before giving way to Pardo.
Stephen Garcia, who scored both runs for the Wildcats, singled to lead off the seventh and advanced to second base on a bunt by Ben Rigby, then scored on a double by Anthony Cole.
Landon Etzel went 2-for-3 for Clear Creek.
