Ball High 4, Lee 1
BAYTOWN — Alvin Lee got the Tors’ offense going with a two-run single in the first, and pitchers Dylan Davidson and Dean Best shut down Baytown Lee at the plate Tuesday for a District 24-4A win.
Lee’s hit gave Ball High an early lead, and the team added two more runs in the third with the help of an RBI single from Simeon Williams.
Davidson started and lasted six innings, allowing no earned runs with four hits, nine strikeouts and one walk.
Best took over in the seventh to earn for the save.
Danbury 10, Hitchcock 3
DANBURY — The Bulldogs scored early and late but were limited to only three hits Tuesday in a District 26-2A loss to Danbury.
TJ Combs had two of Hitchcock’s hits including an RBI double in the first inning and a one-run single in the sixth. Kyle Cook had a hit and scored twice.
Danbury scored three in the bottom of the first to take the lead and added four more in the third to build on its advantage.
