In 24-6A’s all-district selections, Galveston County football programs racked up plenty of honors with the top prize — district MVP — going to Dickinson senior receiver/quarterback Montel Parker.

District champion Clear Springs hauled in three superlative all-district awards: offensive MVP, senior running back Todd Hudson II; newcomer of the year, sophomore quarterback Garrett Rooker; and coach of the year, Craig Dailey.

Friendswood earned two superlatives: defensive MVP, senior linebacker Jake Yurachek and iron man, senior linebacker/fullback Cal Whitaker.

Each county team’s all-district selections are as follows:

CLEAR CREEK

• Sam Mathews, senior — first team quarterback (unanimous)

• Chad Lindberg, sophomore — first team offensive line

• Brett Bush, senior — second team offensive line

• Will Broadus, senior — second team defensive end, first team punter
