Clear Springs 11, Dickinson 0

DICKINSON

The Clear Springs Chargers blew out a district rival for the third time in a row as they crushed the Dickinson Lady Gators by the final score of 11-0 Friday night.

Scoring for the Chargers were Sarah Evans with a hat trick, Avery Gilbert, Alyssa Mencacci and Sydney Robinson with two goals apiece, and Rana Huessein and Zoe Jessen with a goal each.

Earning clean sheets for the Chargers were goal keeper Maddie Fisher, and defenders Maddie Salas, Bella Iovieno, Erica Isom and Anessa Byerman.

Next up for the Chargers (3-0 District 24-6A) is a meeting with Clear Falls (1-2), 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Challenger Columbia Stadium.

The Lady Gators (0-3) travel to Alvin (1-2), 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Friendswood 3, Clear Brook 1

FRIENDSWOOD

The Friendswood Lady Mustangs got off to a strong start Friday night on the road and kept their crosstown rival Clear Brook at bay to improve to 3-0 in district play.

Friendswood built a 2-0 lead by halftime before trading goals with Clear Brook in the second half.

Olivia Rhodes recorded a goal and assisted on another by Emma Sutherland. Blynn Friberg scored on a penalty kick. Katie Reyes was in goal for the Lady Mustangs.

Friendswood will look to keep the good times rolling 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when the team takes on Clear Creek at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

District 23-5A

Texas City 10, Fort Bend Willowridge 0

TEXAS CITY

The Texas City Lady Stings simply could not be stopped, as they rolled their way to victory over Willowridge on Friday at Stingaree Stadium.

Texas City got the scoring started on a perfect through ball from Ashleigh Rivas to freshman phenom Amanda Valdez, who sent the ball sailing into the back of the net on a first touch 30 yards out.

“We’ve been working on through balls, one-on-ones and placement, rather than just kicking it as hard as we could when going to goal,” Lady Stings head coach Lindsay Best said. “The girls are beginning to get the hang of it and apply what we have been working on.”

Karissa Victoria logged a hat trick with three goals,Valdez , Yessenia Peraza and Lillian Romero each had two goals. Kassandra Cervantes also scored a goal.

Assists came from Brooklyn Gallagher, Jayden Thiem, Allison Alaniz, Skylar Hernandez, Rivas and Cervantes.

Goal keeper Gabby Bjerke recorded the clear sheet.

Texas City remains undefeated on the regular season at 7-0, including a 4-0 mark in district play.

Up next, the Lady Stings make a trip to Alvin Shadow Creek at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

HOUSTON

The Clear Falls Knights defeated the Clear Lake Falcons by the final score of 2-0 Friday night on the road.

Scoring goals for the Knights were Mark Reyna (also had an assist) and Benjamin Stephenson.

Next up for the Knights (2-1-0 District 24-6A) is a home game against winless Clear Springs, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Friendswood 3, Clear Brook 1

FRIENDSWOOD

The Friendswood Mustangs took down the Clear Brook Wolverines by a final score of 3-1 Friday night at Henry Winston Stadium.

Setting up the two goals for the Mustangs was Zach Montz, finding Josh Murphy and setting up Connor Nash on a corner kick. Alex Mai score from 40 yards out to finish things off for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs now (1-1-1 in District 24-6A) host Clear Creek at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (2-1-0).
