Friendswood 2, Clear Creek 0
Despite having an off-night, the Friendswood Lady Mustangs were able to muster a win Tuesday over the Clear Creek Wildcats at Veterans Memorial Stadium to remain undefeated in district play.
Friendswood scored a goal in each half — the first coming off the boot of Olivia Rhodes with an assist by Joanne Kaouk, and the second goal being put in the back of the net by Blynn Friberg off an assist from Victoria Davis.
Goal keeper Katie Reyes recorded the clean sheet.
Up next for the Lady Mustangs (4-0-0 in district) will be a huge home match against Clear Lake (4-0-0) at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Texas City Lady Stings extended their unbeaten streak to eight matches (five in district) with a decisive road win over Shadow Creek on Tuesday.
Amanda Valdez scored a hat trick to lead the way for the Lady Stings. Ashleigh Rivas found the back of the net twice, and Karissa Victoria rounded out Texas City’s scoring with a goal. Valdez and Victoria also had an assist apiece, and Jayden Them added an assist, as well.
The Lady Stings will look to stay at zero losses on the season when they face Manvel in their next match 7 p.m. Friday at Stingaree Stadium.

The Texas City Stings got a nice bounce-back win following a tough shootout loss last Friday, scoring a district victory over Shadow Creek on Tuesday at Stingaree Stadium.
Juan Rodriguez powered the Stings’ attack with two goals. Carlos Rodriguez filled the stat sheet with a goal and two assists, Alex Paz had a goal and an assist, and Chandler Pickett logged an assist.
Texas City will take its act on the road for its next match, which will be 7 p.m. Friday at Manvel.
