The Wildcats won each of the first and third quarters by one point, and Clear Creek used strong finishes to each half (17-9 in second and 18-8 in fourth) to pick up the team's first win of the young season.

Day'Shon Marks led Clear Creek with 19 points. Nate Jackson tallied 12 points, and Hunter Smith chipped in with 10 points for the Wildcats.

No stats immediately available for Ball High.

Both teams will be back in action Tuesday as Clear Creek travels to Channelview at 7 p.m. and Ball High hosts Alvin at 2 p.m.
