Clear Creek 55, Deer Park 34

LEAGUE CITY

The Wildcats dominated the first half by outscoring Deer Park 33-8 (14-3 in first quarter and 19-5 in second quarter) to cruise to an opening night win at home.

Anna Rodriguez led Clear Creek with 10 points.

Clear Creek will be back at home 7 p.m. Tuesday when the Wildcats play Memorial.

Clear Falls 49, Cinco Ranch 35

LEAGUE CITY

Behind strong performances from Madison Lussier (21 points) and Kaylee Hernandez (12 points) the Knights won their season opener.

Leading by three at halftime, Clear Falls used a strong second half, that saw the Knights outscore the Lady Cougars 25-14.

Clear Falls travels to Bellaire on Tuesday. First tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Texas City 56, Dickinson 42

TEXAS CITY

The Texas City Lady Stings finished each half strong to deliver their home fans a win over the Dickinson Lady Gators in both teams' season opener.

A 10-0 second quarter saw Texas City take a 21-13 lead into the halftime break, and after Dickinson cut the deficit to 32-28 in the third quarter, the Lady Stings erupted for 22 fourth-quarter points to put the game away.

Ny'Keyia Letroise carried Texas City with 32 points. Beyince Evans and Glenda Chatman led Dickinson with 13 points each.

Texas City returns to action Thursday through Saturday at the Baytown Lee Lady Gander Classic tournament. Dickinson will have its home opener when the Lady Gators host South Houston at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
