Clear Creek vs. Alvin, 7 p.m.
The Wildcats look to get on the winning side of their overall and District 24-6A records at Veterans Memorial Stadium as they enter this week’s game at 2-2 overall and 1-1 in district play.
The Wildcats are coming off a 55-42 win over Clear Brook in last week’s game for their first district win.
The Alvin Yellowjackets are searching for their first district victory of the season, coming in at 2-2 overall and 0-2 in district play.
Alvin was crushed by the Clear Springs Chargers in a 49-0 rout in last week’s game. Alvin’s last win came against Fort Bend Clements, 63-14, last month.
Clear Lake vs. Clear Falls, 7 p.m.
The Clear Lake Falcons will look to keep their foot on the gas pedal after starting off unbeaten in district play. The Falcons currently sit at 4-1 overall and 2-0 in District 24-6A.
Clear Lake eked out a 21-17 win over the Dickinson Gators last week to move its unbeaten streak to three games. The Falcons face the Clear Falls Knights at Challenger Columbia Stadium this Friday.
The Knights will be searching for a way to stop their current losing skid of three games and get their first district win of the season. The Knights are coming off losses to Clear Brook (55-42) and Friendswood (38-0) in district play.
The Knights’ only win of the season was a 49-0 victory over Pasadena Sam Rayburn in last month’s non-district contest.
Friendswood vs. Clear Brook, 7 p.m.
The Friendswood Mustangs will host the Clear Brook Wolverines in this week’s game.
Friendswood (4-1 overall, 2-0 in district) had no trouble in dismantling Clear Falls in last week’s game, winning 38-0. They haven’t lost since their 45-28 loss to Barbers Hill at the start of the season.
The Wolverines are 3-1 overall and 1-1 in district play. After starting district with a 55-42 win over Clear Falls, the Wolverines fell back with a loss to Clear Creek by the same score in last week’s game.
Ball High vs. Santa Fe, 7 p.m.
It's homecoming week for the Ball High Tors, who are hoping to bounce back from their first loss in District 23-5A last week against Manvel, 35-7.
It was a stop in momentum for a team that came back from a 20-point deficit against rivals Texas City just a week earlier.
The Santa Fe Indians’ undefeated start to the season came to an end last Friday in their 48-41 loss at home to the Texas City Stings. With the loss, Santa Fe fell to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in district.
Texas City at Galena Park, 7 p.m.
The Texas City Stings finally found a way to win last week, ending their three-game losing streak to start the season as they took care of previously undefeated Santa Fe.
The Stings will now get an opportunity to capitalize as they host this week’s encounter with the Galena Park Yellowjackets.
The Yellowjackets are 1-3 for the season and 0-2 in district.
Galena Park fell to Fort Bend Elkins, 41-7 in last week’s game after losing to Fort Bend Marshall, 57-7.
Galena Park’s lone win of the season was a 35-0 victory over Pasadena.
Hitchcock vs. Anahuac, 7:30 p.m.
After last week’s bye, the Hitchcock Bulldogs are hosting the Anahuac Panthers this week. It’ll be the first district game for both teams.
The Bulldogs are 1-3 overall while the Panthers are 3-1.
The Bulldogs’ last game was a 35-28 loss to Shiner. Their lone win of the season was a 65-28 win over Houston Lutheran South Academy.
The Panthers defeated Hamshire-Fannett, 40-13 in their last game two weeks ago.
La Marque at Hardin, 7:30 p.m.
The La Marque Cougars (2-3 overall, 0-0 in district) will start district play on the road against the Hardin Hornets (4-1, 0-0).
The Cougars ripped up Houston Madison in last week’s game, winning 35-6 in their final non-district game. Hardin enters the game after a 20-6 win over Port Neches-Groves' junior varsity team last week.
High Island at Apple Springs, 7:30 p.m.
Bay Area Christian at Cypress Christian, 7 p.m.
