Phillip Morris, a retired police commander of the Galveston Police Department, announced that he is a candidate for the Republican nomination for district attorney of Galveston County.

Morris received his law degree in 2002 and is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice in the Federal District Courts in the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.
