As a fifth generation BOI, Laura Addison has a strong tie to the Galveston community and its schools. Having lived here for 46 years, we have had the pleasure of watching her grow from a vivacious high-schooler and dedicated college student into a loving wife and mother, hardworking accountant and now a dedicated community contributor.

Laura always gives her very best to any endeavor that she pursues. We are impressed with her passion and dedication to the achievement of high quality education for Galveston children. We know she relates to the issues of pay and appreciation for educators within our system. We know she believes that teacher input is critical to board decisions. We know that she will champion the concerns and opinions of parents. And we especially know she will support financial transparency and accountability of taxpayers’ dollars. Her background ensures that she will be an effective team member for balanced budgets and responsible stewardship of public funds.

Please go to her website, lauraaddison.com to read more about Laura’s qualifications. You can’t go wrong with this dedicated individual for District 5-E GISD school board.
