Having recently moved to Galveston County, I would like to commend the city workers of Texas City. They relentlessly work, not only in the city areas, but toward their never-ending job at the Texas City Dike.

Loving the beach and Gulf waters, I find it criminal that people who utilize the dike for fishing, swimming and their own pleasure can walk away, leaving garbage scattered all across the dike when there is no shortage of trash barrels.

The workers are constantly picking up what is left behind, as there are many people who are thoughtless about our environment. For those of you who do dispose of your waste, I thank you.
