Over the past several years, I've been fortunate to work with and know Judge Lonnie Cox on two fronts: Having served as jury foreman in his court and having worked with him directly when he was president of The Rotary Club of Galveston.

In reviewing the job description/responsibilities of the county judge, in my opinion, Cox — with his wealth of experience and knowledge of the judicial system, along with his exceptional people skills in working with volunteers to "get the job done" — he is the right choice for county judge.

But above all else … Lonnie Cox is a gentleman of integrity and class. He truly exemplifies the term "Service Above Self." I've seen it — firsthand — in his work as president of our Rotary Club. And, I've seen it firsthand with his professionalism and integrity as he presides over his courtroom.

A vote for Lonnie Cox is a vote for a Judge who hates Christians as he stated in his own opinion piece he put out a couple of weeks ago....He wants Christians to stay out of the government and yet from his opinion piece he wants to be able to have the government tell the Church what they can do and say.... No Thank You.... We will vote for ANYONE before we vote for Cox....
