Women’s History Month is almost over, and I wanted to say thank you to two wonderful women.

There are many women who could be recognized, but there are two special people in Hitchcock that I would like to acknowledge.

Joyce Nuss and Nadine Smith are two women who have dedicated their lives to the children of Hitchcock.

Both are longtime employees of Hitchcock Independent School District.

They are two of the best things that ever happen to the Hitchcock community.

Mrs. Nuss is retired, but always is just a phone call away if needed by Hitchcock ISD.

Mrs. Smith is still working in the district.

Both have seen many administrators come and go during the years.

Both of them are a part of our community secret service.

During the years, each has worked behind the scenes to make a difference in the lives of the children they come in contact with each day.

They never look for recognition or awards.

Thank you, Mrs. Nuss and Mrs. Smith, for all that you have done for the students who have walked the halls of Hitchcock schools. We are Bulldog proud of you.

If you know these two women, give them a call today and say thank you.
