The Friends of the Rosenberg Library hosted a luncheon on April 1 to honor the library staff on National Library Workers Day during National Library Week, April 13-19.

These folks work hard to keep your library programs and services up and running each and every day.

First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country each April.

It’s a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support.

This year’s theme is “Lives Change @ Your Library,” reminding all Americans the library can help you and your family discover a new and exciting world.

The Rosenberg Library is at 2310 Sealy Street in Galveston.

The hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
