Galveston’s Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church celebrated the 50th anniversary and retirement of its paster, the Rev. A.S. Johnson, with a parade.

Just look at  that photo  in the paper

As I was reading the story “50 years with Pastor Johnson,” (Daily News, March 23) I was excited to see the people in a tram. Keep this picture on file because that is exactly what is needed to transport people from parking lots to the beach — easy on and easy off.

Remember, people will have ice chests, umbrellas, etc. Cars can be added as needed. I drove around town and noticed large lots all over town. Do you know if the city owns lots? Just thinking ahead.
