The big storm debris is gone, but the small stuff still remains along the Dickinson roadways and ditches. Heavily devastated by Hurricane Harvey, remnants of loss continue to litter the community, a constant reminder of the havoc left behind by unprecedented flooding.

Keep Dickinson Beautiful, with support from the Comrie Foundation, is sponsoring a Christmas Cleanup beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Keep Dickinson Beautiful is asking everyone — individuals, Scouts, neighborhoods, associations, businesses, church and civic groups — to help wipe the visual slate and last remnants of Harvey clean from our roadways and ditches.

Sign up will start at 8:30 a.m. at city hall, 4403 state Highway 3, where instructions, free gloves, trash bags and water will be available. Please take rakes and shovels to help gather and scoop small stuff into bags. Trucks with trailers to haul debris to the dumpsters are needed as well. Lunch for volunteers will be served at noon at city hall.

Together we responded! Together we are rebuilding! Together we will recover! Because we are Dickinson and Texas strong! For information and pledging your intent to help, email kdb@keepdickinsonbeautiful.org or text 832-820-9816. Hope to see you there!
