Daily News readers sound off about the May election.
It’s election time and I’m supporting Win Weber for re-election to her position on the Clear Creek Independent School District board of trustees, District 2. Weber has a proven track record with the district and deserves to be re-elected.
Weber has been a great steward of our CCISD tax dollars. She was on the board when the State Legislature slashed spending to school districts across Texas. The board made the right decisions with minimal impact to the quality education that CCISD students receive. I’ve always said that serving as a school board member is the ultimate volunteer job.
Few people realize the countless amount of time our trustees are required to put in each month not just for meetings, but for all the other things they are expected to attend. Weber is not a one-issue candidate. Before running for the board she did her homework, serving as PTA president at Robinson Elementary and later as booster club president at Clear Creek High School.
Her professional background as an attorney, prosecutor and judge only add to her credentials and qualifications. If you live in CCISD’s District 2, please join me in supporting Weber for trustee.
