You are invited to meet Sen. Leticia Van de Putte, Democratic Candidate for Texas Lt. Governor, and Becky Moeller, President of the Texas AFL-CIO, at this year’s Galveston County Democratic Women’s Trailblazer Brunch on May 3 at the Wayne Johnson Community Center, 4102 FM 519, in La Marque.

Senator Van de Putte is part of a history-making ticket: two women running for the top statewide offices together.

This is a first. It is apparent after the last two legislative sessions that women — who make up more than half the population — are not well served by the Texas leadership.

It was recently said women’s issues are Texas’ issues. We need a real leader like Van de Putte.

Meet the Galveston Democratic women we are proud of: Marsha Galvan, Hon. Gladys Burwell, Hon. Patricia Gray and Hon. Penny L. Pope.

Our Master of Ceremonies is the Hon. Susan Criss, Democratic candidate for District 23 State Representative.

A breakfast buffet will be served at 9:30 a.m. and the program begins at 10 a.m.

The cost is $25 per person. For information call 409-762-4786. You may purchase tickets online at: https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/dwgcbrunch.
