There is an old saying, “What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander!” That doesn’t seem to be true today.

Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed and assaulted a lot of women, and the public wants him hung. Bill O’Reilly lost his job at FOX over similar behavior. Donald Trump did the same thing, including calling them fat pigs and other uncomplimentary things, and the Republicans elected him president. What is the difference? Is it acceptable to commit these atrocities against women as a candidate for president of the United States, but unacceptable if you are not?

I’m from the old school and still believe that right is right and wrong is wrong no matter who you are. If it’s good for the goose, it’s good for the gander, too.

Donald Trump called only one person, Rosie O'Donnell, a "fat pig" in response to Rosie calling him a "pimp" for Miss USA-Tara Conner in her blog. This happened in 2006.
Let's see. Rosie O'Donnell is calling Donald Trump a "pimp" for Miss USA-Tara Conner. By definition a "pimp" is " a person, especially a man, who solicits customers for a prostitute or a brothel".
So is the author suggesting that referring to a Miss USA winner as a prostitute is okay and Trump should not have replied?
Trump's response is considered crass but he was neither president nor a candidate at the time.

Mark Aaron

Carlos: [Trump's response is considered crass but he was neither president nor a candidate at the time.]

Does not being a candidate make sexual assault okay now Carlos? Is "crass" how you define sexual assault now too? Look how far you are falling trying to defend Trump Carlos. You can do better.

Craig Lindberg

Mark writes: [Does not being a candidate make sexual assault okay now Carlos?] in the same breath as he calls bringing up allegations of Bill Clinton’s rape and sexual harassment a red herring in the same breath he tacitly denies being a hypocrite…

Hers a guy who wanted Hillary for pesident when beyond doubt she was guilty of recklessness with Classified information. also though it was ok to sell part of our uranium to the russians and a list a mile long. Good grief fellow are you thinking with a closed mind?

Poor Doyle, so easily enticed into ignoring what is right in front of your face to go chasing after a straw bunny.

L. Davied Bond wrote "“What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander!” That doesn’t seem to be true today.
Correct if he does not apply the same standards to Bill and Hillary Clinton as he does to Donald J. Trump.
Bill Clinton continued his sexual exploits into the Oval office WHILE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Did we hear anything from L. Davied Bond on the matter in this paper????? But L. Davied was a delegate to the 1996 Democratic convention in Chicago (GCDN June 11, 1996). Bill Clinton was impeached not for his sexcapades but for lying under oath. I wonder if L. Davied voted for Bill at the Convention. Good bet he did.
In the March 17, 2016 edition of the GCDN L. Davied Bond wrote "Hillary Witch Hunt Must End".
http://www.galvnews.com/opinion/letters_to_editor/article_f1b8b55b-8abc-5f02-93b3-eee7dca1b956.html
So what' he's implying is what's good for the Clintons is TOO good for Trump.
I disagree with much of L. Davied Bond's writings but I will defend his right to write it. But come on, be consistent, man!

Right Carlos People like David only write about one side. He would make a good journalist for the liberal news lying new media.

Mark Aaron

Doyle: [Right Carlos People like David only write about one side.]

You mean like you so consistently do, Doyle?

Mark Aaron

Carlos: [Bill Clinton continued his sexual exploits into the Oval office WHILE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.]

You are quite the fish monger today Carlos. Your red herring look extra old and they stink to high heavens. I assume you are aware of that.

Craig Lindberg

Red herring? Mark, the author is asking why isn’t Trump being called out for the accusations of sexual harassment made against him while others like Weinstein and O’Reilly have been, so how is it a red herring to point out the hypocrisy of the left with respect to Bill Clinton on this very issue?

If ignoring the accusations of rape and sexual assault against Clinton was OK (let alone the “bimbo eruption unit” personally destroying the accusers), why should we worry about accusations against Trump? It should also be noted that the left sheltered Weinstein’s rape and harassment for at least a decade and only stopped when they could no longer do so.

It goes both ways. What’s good for the gander is good for the goose too. Liberals always seem to forget that for some reason…

Craig Lindberg

What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander? I think Mr. Bond has his species confused. Harvey Weinstein is accused of 9 RAPES in addition to dozens of other sexual assaults and harassments. Mr. Bond says “Trump did the same thing” and then gives an example of crass language. Is he seriously equating rape with crass language? Last time I checked, nobody has accused Trump of rape.

Hollywood, the leftist mainstream media, and political leftists at the highest levels have been actively covering this up and tacitly condoning this behavior by Weinstein and apparently many others in Hollywood and the media for at least a decade. Many of the folks who, as Mr. Bond says, “want to hang him,” are those on the left trying to talk tough now to hide their past complicity.

You want to talk about what’s good for the goose being good for the gander, ask the leftists why they would cover this these crimes (let alone while also accusing Republicans of a war on women)? They never would have covered it up if Weinstein and Hollywood were conservative.

I’ve said it many times, the #1 tactic of the left is to accuse the right of exactly what they are doing. We see it over and over. This is yet another high profile instance, and it’s looking a lot like the left’s BS cries of Trump colluding with the Russians is going to be a massive example too.

Doyle Beard

Craig you last paragraph really nailed it, to me its hypocritical which is why I say show me a liberal and i will show you a hypocrite.

Mark Aaron

Doyle: [ I say show me a liberal and i will show you a hypocrite. ]

My, such an open mind.

You misread what Davied said Craig. He was comparing Trump to Bill O'Reily, still very bad of Trump though. What was it, ten women who came forward and said Trump sexually assaulted them by grabbing their genitals? Is that worse than Bill O'Reily or better?

==> [They never would have covered it up if Weinstein and Hollywood were conservative.]

What happened to Bill Cosby, Craig?

Craig Lindberg

He may have been comparing Trump to O'Rilley, but he first compared O'Rilley to Weinstein, so your point is a distinction without a difference. If you want to compare Trump to O'Rilley then don't pull in Weinstein, but be honest, if someone here tried to draw comparisons between a prominent Democrat politician and the sins of a liberal entertainer, you'd be the first to cry foul. In this case, it's a sleazy attempt to both smear Trump with a comparison to a alleged rapist and to further downplay the Hollywood war on women that is exploding in your face.

Mark Aaron

Craig: [ He may have been comparing Trump to O'Rilley, but he first compared O'Rilley to Weinstein, so your point is a distinction without a difference.]

You may be right, in a backwards kind of way. Trump and Weinstein have the same number of rape allegations made against them. So Davied was right on track by your reckoning.

Craig Lindberg

Mark asks, "what happened to Bill Cosby"...

You make this way too easy. Cosby is a Democrat who supported Barack Obama. The nail in his coffin was that he, as a Democrat African-American, voiced socially conservative views vis-a-vis the African-American community. A race-card maven like yourself surely knows that is a liberal sin of the first order.

The only similarities are that both coverups involved money and the liberal lie about being defenders of women. NBC covered up for Cosby (until they couldn’t) because he made them lots of money while the NYT covered up for Weinstein (until they couldn’t) because he and other Hollywood types were major Democrat supporters.

"#1 tactic of the left is to accuse the right of exactly what they are doing"
This is not a left or right problem. It is found in every facet of American life.
Just as Hollywood  has sex offenders, other  profession including Democrat's and Republicans also have their problems  President Trump has been accused, 3 times of rape. The list of Democrat's and Republicans is very long.

Here are a few of the Hollywood types. Some are from the Music industry, but also were in the movie or TV business. They were reported on the news, but maybe not the news you watch. These are some of the more famous ones. These are older, but there is not a lack of new ones.
Jason Michael Handy, Handy was sentenced to six years in prison in 2004 after pleading no contest to two felony counts, one of lewd acts on a child and one of distributing sexually explicit material by email, and to a misdemeanor charge related to child sexual exploitation. In California, he was a production assistant at Nickelodeon and volunteered at a Malibu church
Jeffery Jones ,You probably remember Jones from memorable roles in some 80s epics like Beetlejuice and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off   Back in 2002, Jones was arrested for soliciting a 14 year old boy to pose for nude, sexually explicit pictures.  He was also found to be in possession of child pornography  Back in 2002, Jones was arrested for soliciting a 14 year old boy to pose for nude, sexually explicit pictures.  He was also found to be in possession of child pornography
Britney Spears In 2010, Fernando Flores, one-time bodyguard for Britney Spears, sued his former employer for sexual harassment
John Travolta  had  sexual harassment and assault claims filed against him over the last few years.
Marilyn Manson ,The guard was not amused by having his head humped by Marilyn Manson as part of a performance and sued for sexual assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress
Pee Wee Herman  so-called sex crime was one of those most widely reported in the media and oddly one of the least offensive, at least in terms of seriousness
Tupac Shakur  having a history of assault before being accused of rape in 1993
 R. Kelly made headlines after he was arrested and indicted on 21 counts of child pornography, which were later reduced to 14 counts
Ian Watkins is the former frontman of the Welsh rock group, Lostprophets,  Watkins was sentenced to 35 years in prison after being found guilty of multiple child sex offenses including one count of attempting to rape a baby.
Mystikal  was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and extortion.
Roman Polanski  Back in 1978, famed director Roman Polanski, was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor after he allegedly drugged a teenage girl and had sex with her following a photo shoot in actor Jack Nicholson’s home
Vincent Margera, also known as “Don Vito,” was one of the stars of MTV’s hit reality show, Viva La Bam. In 2007, Margera was convicted of two counts of sexual assault on a child after he allegedly groped two girls age 12 and 14.
If you ever watched the MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, then you’ll recognize Shane Sparks as one of the show’s judges. The Emmy-winning choreographer was arrested in 2009 on charges related to lewd acts upon a child. In 2011, Sparks pled no contest to one felony count of unlawful sex with a minor under 16

"President Trump has been accused, 3 times of rape.'
The initial charge was dropped by a female judge. Then the lady charged him again in a different state. Following Trump's election she dropped the charges. Reminds me of Emily Lietella's, "Never mind!"

First was Ivana Trump, Donald Trump’s first wife, who said under oath in a 1989 deposition that he had violently attacked her, ripped out her hair and forcibly ---------- her without her consent.

A second woman accused Donald Trump of sexual assault, in 1997. Then 34-year-old Jill Harth alleged in a federal lawsuit that Trump violated her “physical and mental integrity” when he touched her intimately without consent

I personally witnessed the Plaintiff (Jane Doe ) being forced to perform various sexual acts with Donald J. Trump and Mr. Epstein. Both Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein were advised that she was 13 years old
Tiffany Doe corroborates, based on her own personal observations, just about everything in Jane Doe’s complaint: that 12-year-old Maria was involved in a sex act with Mr. Trump, that Mr. Trump threatened the life of Jane Doe if she ever revealed what happened, and that she would “disappear” like Maria if she did.
Tiffany Doe herself says that she is in mortal fear of Mr. Trump to this day:
I am coming forward to swear to the truthfulness of the physical and sexual abuse that I personally witnessed of minor females at the hands of Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein . . . I swear to these facts under the penalty for perjury even though I fully understand that the life of myself and my family is now in grave danger.
Given all this, and based on the record thus far Mr. Epstein’s own sexual crimes and parties with underage girls are well documented, as is Mr. Trump’s relationship with him two decades ago in New York City. Mr. Trump told a reporter a few years ago: “I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it, Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

“I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension during my divorce from Donald. The story is totally without merit,” Ivana said in a statement to CNN.
Jane Doe sued for millions but would settle for thousands. She is the one I referred to. Female judge tossed out the case, Jame refiled in a different statye then dropped suit after election.
Jill Harth accused Trump of "attempted rape". In 1997 she filed a $125 million lawsuit against him. Jill Hath's husband had earlier filed a breach of contract lawsuit against Trump. Interesting that when the breach of contract lawsuit was settled, Jill Harth dropped the attempted rape lawsuit. Hmmmmm........

That's true, but it's also a strawman with respect to my words you quoted.

CNN reported Friday that a federal grand jury approved the first charges from Mueller's investigation and that anyone charged could be taken into custody as soon as Monday. This should start shining a light on what happened with Russia.

Here is a list of Republican's ,which is less than 10% of the one's I found.
I provided a list earlier  that had Hollywood types on it. I did not provide many of the high profile people, as most already know about them.

This is a list of Republicans
Just this week three women have accused former President George H.W. Bush of inappropriately touching them .

Republican Congressman Bob Livingston was about to vote for impeaching President Clinton for sexual improprieties until it was disclosed he was an adulterer
Republicans Congressman Henry Hyde denounced President Clinton's extramarital affair, but was later found to be an adulterer himself
Republican anti-abortion activist Nicholas Morency pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography on his computer and offering a bounty to anybody who murders an abortion doctor.
Republican activist Lawrence E. King, Jr. organized child sex parties at the White House during the 1980s.
Republican lobbyist Craig J. Spence organized child sex parties at the White House during the 1980s
Republican Party leader Bobby Stumbo was arrested for having sex with a 5-year old boy
Republican Party leader Paul Ingram pleaded guilty to six counts of raping his daughters and served 14 years in federal prison.
Republican Congressman Dan Crane had sex with a female minor working as a congressional page.
Republican congressman and anti-gay activist Robert Bauman was charged with having sex with a 16-year-old boy he picked up at a gay bar.
Republican anti-gay activist Earl "Butch" Kimmerling was sentenced to 40 years in prison for molesting an 8-year old girl after he attempted to stop a gay couple from adopting her
Republican city councilman Mark Harris, who is described as a "good military man" and "church goer," was convicted of repeatedly having sex with an 11-year-old girl and sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Republican strategist and Citadel Military College graduate Robin Vanderwall was convicted in Virginia on five counts of soliciting sex from boys and girls over the internet.
Republican parole board officer and former Colorado state representative, Larry Jack Schwarz, was fired after child pornography was found in his possession.
Republican legislator Peter Dibble pleaded no contest to having an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old girl.
Republican pastor Mike Hintz , whom George W. Bush commended during the 2004 presidential campaign, surrendered to police after admitting to a sexual affair with a female juvenile.
Republican strategist and Citadel Military College graduate Robin Vanderwall was convicted in Virginia on five counts of soliciting sex from boys and girls over the internet.
Republican preacher Stephen White, who demanded a return to traditional values, was sentenced to jail after offering $20 to a 14-year-old boy for permission to perform oral sex on him.
Republican County Constable Larry Dale Floyd was arrested on suspicion of soliciting sex with an 8-year old girl. Floyd has repeatedly won elections for Denton County, Texas, constable.

Like I posted, considering Mueller's team makeup they will trot out one name to appease the Trump haters but nothing will come of it and Trump will still be president.

Documents that were unsealed Monday showed that a federal grand jury indicted Manafort and his former business associate, Rick Gates. They were charged with conspiracy to launder money, conspiracy against the U.S., unregistered agent of a foreign principal, false and misleading statements surrounding the Foreign Agents Registration Act , false statements and seven counts of failure to file reports of foreign bank and financial accounts.
Separately, George Papadopoulos, who served as a foreign policy adviser on Mr. Trump's campaign, has pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI as well.
