I wanted to share with the readers of The Daily News that from July 9-28, 28 French exchange students ages 14 to 18 will be arriving to visit our beautiful island accompanied by two chaperones.
The students are with an international exchange program called Echanges Culturels Internationaux. We’re so excited to welcome these wonderful students who are eager to come to the U.S. to experience the American life and culture.
For more than 25 years, ECI has been offering this opportunity to students and fulfilling their dreams to visit Texas. We’re seeking additional host families to help ensure that all of the students will be able to come. Host families can be individuals, single parents, retired individuals, retired couples or families with or without children of their own.
All the students come with their own spending money, they all speak English and are fully insured. During their visit, we have excursions planned for the students while visiting the island. They include a day at the beach catching waves, horseback riding, a visit to our famous Pleasure Pier, shopping at the Galleria — all the things our teenagers like to do during summer vacation.
Anyone one who resides in Galveston County and is interested in helping to ensure that these students’ dreams to discover Texas become a reality, please contact Maureen Beans at 409-497-6097 or firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
