Lemonade Day is a free, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business — a lemonade stand. Lemonade Day Galveston is May 4.
Isaiah and I wanted to share with you a little about our experience with Lemonade Day.
We are both students at Odyssey Academy and have participated in Lemonade Day in Galveston for two years.
We have learned more every year and have both gained a lot of knowledge.
We are growing our planning and business goal strategies.
We are really grateful to have received a loan from DSW Homes and we’re proud that we made more than enough to pay back the loan and donate to Shriners Hospital.
This organization has truly taught us to become — and to keep practicing to become — great entrepreneurs.
We both worked long hours on building an awesome stand.
Lemonade Day has taught us to strive to succeed in our own business and hopefully with this experience, we will one day own a business of our own.
We would not have been successful without the help of our parents, Jennifer Goodman, Gina Spagnola and Odyssey.
We hope everyone will come out to the Rotary Crawfish Boil on April 13 at Moody Gardens.
We’ll be there from noon to 4 p.m. with our lemonade stand.
The fourth annual Rotary Club of Galveston Crawfish Boil is from noon to 4 p.m. at Moody Gardens, 1 Hope Blvd., behind the Discovery Pyramid in the big white tent.
The event will feature young entrepreneurs who participated in last year’s Galveston Chamber of Commerce Lemonade Day Galveston event.
They will set up their stands and sell lemonade as part of the crawfish boil fundraiser.
