Baylor supporters ought to be angered by university’s inaction, not the MOB

Rice’s Marching Owl Band, better known as the MOB, has a tradition of putting satire ahead of style with its halftime performances. The group’s show at halftime of Friday’s Rice-Baylor game was no exception.

During the performance, the band formed a Roman numeral IX in reference to accusations Baylor violated Title IX rules regarding sexual discrimination on college campuses, as well as a star referring to the university’s embattled former President and Chancellor Ken Starr, who resigned after the scandal.
