Darrell Wayne Hawthorne, 31, passed away unexpectedly on March 12, 2017 at UTMB, resulting from an automobile accident.

Born December 20, 1985 in Galveston, Texas. He was the son of Renita Hawthorne and Darrell Wayne Harris. He attended Ball High School and was an outstanding athlete. He had been employed lastly at Moody Compress.

Darrell is survived by both parents and stepmother Dorndia Harris, daughter Makayla Romero and her mother Veronica Romero, brothers; Samuel Pines, Jermiah Keith, Willie Martin, Sisters; Endiah Pines, Jomazay Keith, Jay Madeleine Keith, Rhoada Gray, Grand father Timothy James; aunts; Rooney Hawthorne, Mary Helen Hall, Lisa Victoria, Kourian Murray, Linda Burns, uncles; Leon James, Luther Hawthorne, special cousin Shanondra Hawthorne and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.

The funeral services will he held on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Wesley Tabernacle Methodist Church, 902 28th St. Galveston, TX. Viewing will began at 9am-11:00am followed by funeral service at 11:00am. Rev. Lataya Simpson and Rev. Michael Dwyer will be officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
