God called her home. She has earned her wings.

Jessica was the daughter of Jesse Cantu and Isabel Lopez.

Jessica was a member of the graduating Class of 2006 at Ball High School in Galveston, TX. She was also a fan of the Dallas Cowboys but most importantly she will be remembered for her willingness to help people as well as her smile. Jessica was a loving mother, daughter, sister, niece and cousin.

Jessica was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John and Pauline Cantu; maternal grandfather, Eugenio Ruiz, Sr; grandparents, Pete and Margaret Gutierrez; brother, Daniel Joseph Ruiz Cantu and uncle, Gilbert Cantu.

Jessica is survived by: her mother, Isabel Lopez; father, Jesse Cantu; sister, Margarita Cantu; aunts and uncles, Frances Morales of Fort Worth, TX, Freddie Dominguez of Galveston, Mike and Kathy Dominguez of Galveston, Yolanda Golden of Fort Worth, Robert Cantu of Galveston, Jimmy Cantu of Fort Worth, Joe and Lori Cantu of Fort Worth, Martha Rodriguez of Galveston, Lisa Borsellino of Galveston, Vincent Cantu of Galveston, Frank and Bertha Ruiz, Yolanda and Robert Lopez, Sr., Virginia Alvarado, Monica and Martin Cortez; stepmother, Elaine Cantu; stepbrother, Michael Purcell and a host of other family members and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 (off State Highway 3), Texas City, TX 77591, 409-933-4300.

A graveside service will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Hayes Grace Memorial Park, 10708 State Highway 6, Santa Fe, TX 77510. All memorials may be sent to the funeral home.
