GALVESTON—Elicia Ann Netherly “Punkin”, 36, went home to be the Lord on April 16, 2017, surrounded by her loving family and friends at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, TX.

She was born August 9, 1980, in Galveston, TX and graduated from Texas City High School in 1998, and also from Galveston College with an Associate Degree. She was formerly employed at Academy as a supervisor. She was baptized at an early age at Northside Baptist Church in Texas City.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Armond and Mamie Hurd, W.B. and Ruby Netherly; step-mother, Karen Netherly; and aunt, Darlene Hurd Madison.

She leaves precious memories with her parents: Willie Earl Netherly and Cynthia Hurd Netherly; brothers: Armond R. Netherly and Jonathan Netherly; sister: Tiffany McWilliams; grandmother: Ella Netherly; uncles: Armond Hurd, Jr., Jay Netherly (Monica) and Carl Hurd; aunts: Edna Netherly and Doris Hurd; and host of cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation will begin at 10 A.M., followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 A.M., Saturday April 22, 2017, at Greater Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, with Pastor Michael Dwyer, officiating.
