Norma Jean Spann, 84, passed away 10/18/2016 at home. She was the wife of Jimmie Spann, and they shared 67 years together.

Born in Ft. Worth, Texas, she was the daughter of John and Modena Sparks. She was a member of Fostepco Heights Baptist Church where she played the piano, met and married her husband.

Norma, along with Jimmie, was a Southern Baptist career missionary, serving in Uruguay and Mexico. She enjoyed a ministry of music, teaching, and blessing others with her hospitality and culinary gift.

She is survived by husband, Jimmie; children, Steve (Nancy), Claudia, Kathy (Noel) and Lynda; 8 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren who knew her as Nani.

Norma/Mom/Nani is missed and fondly remembered.

Guests are invited to share in a Celebration of Life Visitation from 9:30 — 11:00 a.m., on October 21st, 2016 with 11:00 a.m. Funeral Services at Carnes Funeral Home – Texas City 3100 Gulf Freeway, 77591. Interment to follow at Forest Park – East Cemetery in Webster, TX.
