Mary Helen Legge Schneider, age 87 of Santa Fe, Texas passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Seabreeze Nursing Facility in Texas City, Texas. Helen was born October 31, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was a resident of Santa Fe for 24 years formerly of Galveston, Texas. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a member of the Friendship Club. Helen attended Dominican High School and volunteered her time at H.I.S. Ministries in Santa Fe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Schneider; parents, Sylvestor and Faye Legge; son-in-law, Dale Williamson; sisters, Gloria Robertson and Joane Brandt; brothers, Robert Legge and John (Skip) Legge.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Shirley Williamson; son, Freddie Schneider (Janie); 3 grandchildren, Trey Schneider (Paula), Brian Schneider, Lori Lee Hubbell (Brad); 3 great grandchildren, Zachary Schneider, Emily Schneider and Nicole Hubbell; sister-in-laws, Alice Marie Legge and Judy Legge; brother-in-law, Clifford Brandt; along with numerous other family and friends.

The Schneider family would like to thank all of the staff at AMED Hospice and Seabreeze Nursing Facility for all of their help and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made in Helen’s honor to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, September 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 10114 Hwy 6 Hitchcock, Texas 77563 with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall 11100 Hwy. 6 Santa Fe, Texas 77510.
