Rosemary Martinez, age 70 of Rosharon, Texas passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at her home. Rosemary was born September 14, 1947 in Raymondville, Texas, and was a resident of Rosharon since 2005. She graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1965, received her B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston and her MBA from the University of Houston Clear Lake.

Rosemary worked many years in the oil and gas industry and was a leader in her field of environmental regulatory law until finally retiring from Ineos at League City in 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and her warm, caring soul will be dearly missed. Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Gregoria Hernandez.

Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jesse Martinez; sons, Jesse Martinez (Anna), Martin Martinez (Lauren), John Martinez (Norma); sisters, Helen Escamilla (Chief), Janie Pound (Steve); brothers, Andrew Hernandez (Claudia), Ben Hernandez (Mary Sue); grandchildren, Devin Locklear, Chloe, Alex, Landon, David and Farrah Martinez; along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 at Scott Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life taking place at Joe’s Banquet Hall across the street directly afterwards.
