PORT BOLIVAR—Earl Ray Bouse, age 88, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at The Meridian. He was born in Galveston, Texas on October 25, 1929. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked numerous jobs in his lifetime, including a foreman at Galveston Shipbuilding and a heavy equipment operator. He loved working cows and rodeoing with family and friends, fishing, dancing and visiting with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his three wives, Dorothy Lee Bouse, Frances Bouse and Mary Bouse; sons Tip Walker and Ronnie Bouse; and his siblings.

He is survived by his children: Lee Ellen Kahla and husband John Kahla(Deceased), Charles Ray Bouse and wife Johnette, Lyle Albert Bouse, Sr and wife Mary Ann, Bobby Bouse and wife Peggy, Billy Bouse, Sr and wife Nancy, Terri Gaspard and husband Tony and Debbie Comeaux and husband Curtis; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Port Bolivar Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Port Bolivar Methodist Church, with Reverend Valerie Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at the Port Bolivar Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Glenn Kahla, Lyle Albert Bouse Jr, Clint Walker, Billy Bouse Jr, Anthony Comeaux, Earl Gaspard, Keith Bouse and Sid Bouse.

Following the graveside service, a reception will be held at the Port Bolivar Fire Station.
