Karen Marie Frank was born in Galveston, Texas on August 27, 1957 to Felix Holloway and Letha Frank Holloway. She passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at age 59 at The Rio at Mainland Center.

Karen was the partner of the late Horace Bob for over 20 years.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Kenneth and Felix Frank.

Karen attended Ball High School in Galveston, TX and worked at UTMB for many years. She also did private duty work until her health declined.

Karen was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Galveston. She enjoyed fishing and watching soap operas. Karen will be remembered for her gift of giving and the love she had for her family.

Karen is survived by: her sisters, Lillie Frank (Don), Betty Joyce Frank and Rochelle Frank Simmons (Mike); brothers, Tommye Frank (Carolyn), Karl Frank (Sheila) and Paul Frank; stepbrother, Freddy Lynch; stepsisters, Theresa Holloway and Linda Holloway Clark along with other nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

A public visitation will be on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 10:00 am followed by a Celebration of her Life at 11:00 am. Both services will be held at Bay Area Funeral Directors, 5410 FM 1765 Texas City, TX 77591. Burial service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston. Memorials can be sent to the funeral home.
