Robin passed away on August 10, 2017, at home on hospice care after a two year attempt at stopping a rare form of cancer.

Robin was born January 22, 1966 in Galveston, Texas, the youngest of Charles L. and Ruby Lee Roberts two children. She grew up in Galveston’s East End neighborhood along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins as one of the many offspring of the big Bertolino family. She was a licensed hairdresser by trade but gave up working to be a full-time mom to her two children.

Robin was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, as was her mom and dad, which is also where she and Danny Dundee were married in December 1989. They were blessed with having two children and being a mom to her kids was one of her greatest joys. Robin had a spark to her that endeared her to many of her family and friends and she is already sorely missed as home just doesn’t seem to have the same spark that it did since her passing.

Preceded in death by her parents, Robin is survived by her husband, Danny, her son Anthony, her daughter Anissa Lee, and her sister Theresa who was like a second mom to her. Robin has a very large extended family who she loved dearly but most closely to her heart was her sister Theresa’s son, Lance Fenske. Also sharing in our loss is her lifelong best friend Giovannina Valastro Quiroga, and her best bud from beauty school, Christine Haas. Additionally, she had endless memories of the times spent with the friends she met throughout her childhood years bowling with her family at the Seahorse Bowl and the friends she gained when the kids were at Galveston Catholic School.

Pallbearers will be Danny Bertolino, Bobby Quiroga, Lance Fenske, Jimmie Ramirez, Jr., Ryan Dundee, and Tim Fields, Jr.

Robin’s family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 13, 2017, starting at 5:00 pm with a rosary and vigil at 6:30 pm at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 1:30 pm on Monday, August 14, 2017. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials in Robin’s name should be sent to Holy Family Parish Catholic School in Galveston.
