Gary Wayne Pitts was born December 21, 1947 in Texas City, Texas and passed away January 14, 2017 in Houston, Texas. Gary was a resident of Hardin, Texas. He graduated from La Marque High School Class of 1967. As a US Army Veteran, Gary loved his country and always stood up for what was right. Gary worked out of Pipefitters Local 211 for many years. He loved hunting, sports and spending time with his family. He was proceeded in death by his father Virgil C. Pitts Jr. and step father Dave W. Laird. Gary is survived by his mother Clara Pitts, wife Kathy Pitts, sisters Abbie Kaper and husband Randy, and Connie Center and husband Mike, sons Gary Wayne Morris and wife Karin, Dale Wayne Pitts and wife Hillary, and Roy Pitts. He also had 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and an abundance of close friends and family.

After 103 magnificent years, Joanna Moser Rosenblad (known by many as Dr. Joan) passed away in Texas City on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was the youngest of the seven children born to Sam and Sula Moser in the small West Texas community of Lapan, near San Angelo, on January 31, 1913. She received her microbiology Bachelor’s and Registered Nursing degrees from The University of Texas at Austin, and later an MD from Baylor College of Medicine.
