GALVESTON — Police are continuing to investigate a report of gunfire Thursday between two island homes near Fish Village.

A man who was standing outside one of the houses in the 500 block of Ferry Road shortly after officers arrived about 4 p.m. was arrested on an outstanding warrant, police Sgt. Joshua Schirard said.

Aaron Shawn Lindsey, 44, and a woman were outside the house police suspect the shots were fired from, but police have not determined who fired the shots, Schirard said.

Officers searched the home with the assistance of a police dog from the University of Texas Medical Branch Police Department, recovering two weapons. No one was in the house.

Investigators determined that one of the weapons had been reported stolen in Galveston, Schirard said.

Officers arrived after a resident called to report a neighbor shooting at a building. Police found bullet holes inside the residence.

Police had responded to the property before because of issues involving weapons, Schirard said.
