WEBSTER — A 37-year-old man died late Friday when he was hit by a vehicle while walking across East NASA Parkway, police said.

Police did not release the name of the man, a Guatemala native, according to a news release from the Webster Police Department.

The man was crossing the road shortly after 9 p.m. when he was hit by a car in the 400 block of East NASA Parkway, police said.

There was no designated crosswalk in the area, and that section of road is dimly lit, police said.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, police said. Police are continuing to investigate, but do not expect charges to be filed against the driver.
