A San Leon woman is accused of driving her SUV into a man and knocking him out of his shoes after a dispute at a trailer park.
Galveston County Sheriff's Office investigators accused Robin Kathleen Tabares, 43, of striking the 32-year-old man and nearly hitting two others Sept. 15 while they mowed a ditch in the 1100 block of FM 517 in San Leon.
Tabares alleged the man had stolen her son's wallet, Lt. Ron Hill said.
A grand jury indicted Tabares on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on Nov. 2.
Emergency medical personnel took two men to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster. The man who was struck had injuries that were not life-threatening, Hill said.
Tabares was in Galveston County Jail on $80,000 bond.
