SANTA FE — A former Santa Fe High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student was sentenced Monday to two years in state prison.

Jaimie Dominy Page, 27, pleaded guilty to carrying on an improper relationship between an educator and a student, a second degree felony.

The former art teacher was placed on administrative leave in February 2013 after the Santa Fe school district began investigating allegations that Page had sexually assaulted a 16-year-old male student and sent the student a sexually explicit photograph. She resigned during the course of the investigation.

Page was arrested less than a month later and charged with sexual abuse of a child, improper relationship between an educator and a student and online solicitation of a minor.

The other charges were dismissed as part of the plea bargain.
