GALVESTON — An island man accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a 9-year-old child was arrested in Kapolei, Hawaii, last week, officials said Wednesday.
Adrian Gamble, 42, was indicted by a Galveston County grand jury in March 2011, but fled the state before he could be arrested on a charge of indecency with a child and sexual conduct, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.
Texas authorities tracked Gamble to Honolulu in December 2013, and after conducting an investigation, U.S. Marshals, Hawaii State Sheriff’s deputies and U.S. immigration officials arrested Gamble at a Kapolei home March 27, according to the news release.
Gamble was booked at the Honolulu Police Department and is expected to be transported to Texas after a court appearance and extradition hearing.
