GALVESTON — An elderly woman died Saturday night after falling from the fourth story of a Galveston apartment complex, police said.

There are no signs of foul play, but police are investigating the incident, Galveston police Sgt. Joshua Schirard said.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found dead in the Gulf Breeze apartment complex in the 1200 block of 21st Street shortly after 7:20 p.m., when a neighbor heard a loud crash and saw the woman’s body, Schirard said.

The woman was in her 60s or 70s, he said.

Police remained on the scene late Saturday.
