Galveston Bay Oil Spill

Workers pull an oil absorbent boom across a small inlet on the East End of Galveston, Texas on Monday March 24, 2014, as they try to prevent heavy fuel oil from washing into a drain pipe near the East End Flats. More than 160,000 gallons of heavy fuel oil spilled into the bay after a barge collided with a ship near the Texas City Dike.
