    So despite the frigid weather, she still managed to lose out on $20,000?

    I think she is comparing summer numbers to money lost in these past 5 weeks.

    Actually yes it is possible to have lost that much even with the weather as cold as it has been. Had it been summer months, she would have lost a lot more. She is comparing to her books from previous years at the same time.
